Epilogue
"Hasn't he come out yet?"
"Doesn't seem like it..."
"Isn't the event getting too delayed?"
"Now, now. It's a succession ceremony. Such things can happen."
Mount Khaoto, where the Divine Clan Assembly was located.
In the wide-open manor grounds, countless scions of prestigious clans, mercenaries, and mages were gathered, mixed indiscriminately with commoners and merchant groups.
"It's actually better if he's late."
"That's right. Opportunities to witness something like this aren't common, you know. Hey, even the moonshine is free, right?"
"Keeu, that's true."
The Ardehain Clan. The Hyark Clan. The Bellusia Clan. The Gaion Clan.
The Four Great Vassal Clans occupied the middle tier of the manor.
The Baltahar Clan. The Arihama Clan. The Seren Clan.
The Heads of the Three Great Divine Clans occupied the highest tier of the manor, seated.
And at the very highest point was the Samael Clan Head's Hall.
"Hmm."
Meanwhile, the Leaders of the continent's three great merchant guilds, who had come to see the Clan Head succession ceremony, were continually scanning their surroundings with serious eyes.
Their purpose was slightly different from the others.
Although they had long traded with the continent's famous mercenaries, prestigious Clans, and Vassal Clans, they had yet to establish a single proper trade deal with the Divine Clans.
It was self-evident that whichever of the three great merchant guilds managed to open trade with those prideful Divine Clans would stand tall as the continent's number one merchant guild.
Of course, it wasn't just the three great merchant guilds.
Other merchant guilds, quite famous in their respective regions, were also gathered in the manor, but they simply couldn't step forward proactively.
Everyone was furtively watching the reactions of the three great guilds. If they happened to offend one of them, losing their commercial rights would happen in the blink of an eye.
"Waaaaaaah!"
"Waaaah!"
It was then that cheers erupted from the surroundings.
The White Horse Knights, dressed uniformly in white robes, appeared before the Clan Head's Hall, followed by the Crazy Mage Squad with their free-spirited appearance.
In the moment when everyone couldn't take their eyes off them.
Suddenly, someone from the Crazy Mage Squad soared—towards the manor grounds and landed lightly.
"Light Pig!"
The eyes of the three great merchant guild masters simultaneously lit up.
Light Pig.
It is the nickname of a Crazy Mage Squad member famous throughout the continent.
A nickname given because of his warm appearance and his skill with Light Attribute magic.
For some reason, Light Pig was approaching them.
An opportunity like this isn't common.
If they could just strike up a conversation and become acquainted, it would surely be helpful later on.
It was the moment the three great guild masters were vying to speak to him first.
“……”
Light Pig walked right past them and stopped before the leader of a different merchant guild, bowing his head.
"...Father, it's been a while-nyaa."
The gazes of the three great guild masters simultaneously fixed on one man.
He was a guild master they knew.
The Jegmund Merchant Guild, once quite prosperous, but now declining after having its commercial rights taken by the Gullat Merchant Guild, one of the Top 3.
"...Palge-ya."
The Gullat Guild Master looked back and forth between Light Pig (Palge) and the Jugmund Guild Master with a shocked expression.
The Jugmund Guild Master couldn't properly raise his head and was avoiding Light Pig's gaze.
"I'm sorry, Palge-ya."
"...It's alright-nyaa."
Light Pig used a very peculiar way of speaking, ending his sentences with "-nyaa," but at this moment, no one thought it strange.
Because combined with the natural aura emanating from his body, he exuded an atmosphere that was somehow difficult to approach.
"...Forgive your father. No matter how little talent you had for commerce, I shouldn't have kicked you out like that."
"I've already forgotten-nyaa. I think of it as having left voluntarily-nyaa. Thanks to that, haven't I become such a fine person-nyaa?"
The moment Light Pig put his arm around the Jgumund Guild Master's shoulder.
The Gullat Guild Master's eyes widened larger than ever before.
The Jugmund Guild Master is related by blood to a Crazy Mage Squad member...?
Even his three-year-old son could understand the repercussions that situation would bring.
"Ah, and I heard the news-nyaa."
The Gullat Guild Master met the eyes of Light Pig, who slowly turned his head.
As Light Pig strode towards him, the Gullat Guild Master unknowingly opened his mouth.
"Ah..."
Light Pig extended his hand to the Gullat Guild Master.
"Let's get along well from now on-nyaa."
—Restore the Jugmund Guild's commercial rights immediately. Otherwise, I will annihilate the Gullat Guild. I will destroy all of Gullat's commercial rights and purge the guild members with blood.
That is how Light Pig's words sounded to the Gullat Guild Master.
Indeed, for Samael's Crazy Mage Squad, it was more than possible.
Trembling like an aspen leaf, the Gullat Guild Master clasped Light Pig's hand.
"Waaaaaaah!"
"It's the Samael Clan Head!"
It was then that someone emerged from the Clan Head's Hall amidst the cheers.
Light Pig leaped back up from the manor grounds in a single bound—joining the Crazy Mage Squad.
Held high, Samael's Blue Sea Flag fluttered powerfully.
Kazen Samael.
The current Clan Head of Samael.
Wearing red robes and a golden crown on his head, he slowly began to descend the manor steps.
The Heads of the three Divine Clans stood and applauded, while the Heads of the Vassal Clans bowed their heads respectfully.
Kazen Samael stopped in the center of the manor steps.
He turned and looked towards the Clan Head's Hall.
“……”
“……”
A brief silence flowed.
Time continued to pass, but the person who should appear next had still not come out.
Zion, who was watching, secretly yawned and looked sideways.
"Piggy."
"What is it-nyaa?"
"You said that speech pattern was a dialect. But only you use it?"
"...You heard-nyaa?"
"Anyway, why isn't the Commander coming out?"
"Earlier, he said he was nervous and was going to lie down for a bit in a side room...?"
Instantly, the listening Crazy Mage Squad members exchanged glances.
"That damn Commander... don't tell me he's sleeping?"
It was then that the doors of the Clan Head's Hall opened and someone appeared.
Ppa-ak—!
Ruin leaped out like lightning, flicked Zion squarely on the forehead, and nonchalantly began descending the manor steps.
After a moment of silence, cheers erupted.
"Waa... Waaaaaaaaaaah!"
"Waaaaaaaaaaah!"
"It's Samael's First Young Master!"
"Dark Light! Dark Light! Dark Light! Dark Light!"
Ruin Samael.
Slowly descending to the center of the manor steps, he faced Kazen Samael.
"You've worked hard, my son."
"...Thank you, Father."
Kazen took off the golden crown, revealing hair full of white strands.
Ruin bowed his head, and Kazen placed the golden crown upon it.
Ruin raised his head again, and he and Kazen looked at each other for a long moment, then Ruin slowly descended towards the bottom of the manor grounds.
"Waaaaaaaaaaah!"
"It's the Samael Clan Head!"
"Dark Light! Dark Light! Dark Light! Dark Light!"
Kazen calmly watched Ruin's retreating back for a while as he descended from the highest point of the manor to the lowest.
He mouthed quietly.
"You worked hard, Crazy Mage Commander."

[TL/N: It always feels a bit strange when a series comes to an end. I never really thought this day would arrive for 『The Crazy Mage Reincarnated into a Fallen Family』, but here we are at the final chapter. It's been a genuine blast working on this – figuring out the best names, capturing the right character voices, and definitely overthinking things for hours on end ("What exactly did the author mean here?", "Is this sentence structured okay?", "Does this sound natural?")... the list goes on!
I'd like to give a huge thank you to everyone who stuck with me and this series right through to the very end. Your support means a lot!
I'd love it if you check out the other novels I'm working on now, or any others I pick up down the road!
